As a Construction Project Coordinator, the main goal is to supervise crew members and ensure productivity, safety, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves several key responsibilities, such as:
- Evaluating on-site assessments prior to commencing work to ensure the job is ready and addressing any concerns.
- Translating general work requirements into a prioritized work plan and communicating it to the team.
- Assigning tasks and overseeing the execution of the work, including quality and production.
- Maintaining work standards and outlining behavioral expectations to ensure morale, productivity, and safety.
- Inspecting and measuring completed work.
- Preparing records and reports.
- Recognizing, addressing, and resolving issues among team members.
- Managing differences and diversity at the work site.
- Organizing and delegating work.
Additional Key Responsibilities:
- Presenting, supporting, and leading-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
Safety Guidelines:
- Ensure that safety is the most important function, follow safe practices while working.
- Reinforce safe behaviors and eliminate 'at risk' behaviors.
- Report potentially unsafe conditions and use materials and equipment properly.
- Ensure Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's) occurs before scopes of work commence.
- Adhere to and understand standard operating procedures.
- Receive job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing.
- Follow technical, quality and safety systems in place and determine appropriate action.
- Attend work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
- Comply with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 3 or more years' construction experience required.
- Ability to travel domestically 76-100% required.
- Ability to teach and lead others.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to apply good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Functional competencies include attention to detail, communication, casting the right shadow, accountability, and ethics and integrity.
