- Begin the day by gearing up with the appropriate PPE and attending a safety briefing. Review the work plan and the day's objectives.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and tools, ensuring everything is in safe and efficient working condition.
- Maintain vigilance in following safety protocols while performing construction tasks.
- Promptly report any incidents or safety concerns to the manager to maintain a compliant and secure work environment.
- Operate a range of tools and heavy equipment, including skid steers, off-road trucks, excavators, and dozers, to execute erosion control tasks.
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections on equipment, documenting the procedures and addressing any issues to ensure operational efficiency.
- Use GPS equipment to set required elevations, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Clean and store equipment and tools, preparing for the next day's operations.
- Review the day's progress with the team and manager to ensure goals were met and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, navigating hills, and climbing on construction equipment.
- Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level.

- Minimum of 2 years of construction experience.
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and construction tools.
- Basic understanding of project plans and the ability to set grades.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
What will make you stand out?- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Experience with GPS equipment is a plus, but willingness to learn is required.
