Summary
The Pre-Construction Manager’s primary responsibility is to lead pre-construction activities in coordination with Developers on RES developed projects and/or other project service functions, including preparing and updating preliminary engineering and construction schedules, conducting pre-construction and progress meetings, ensuring the project aligns with owner requirements and constraints, supporting review of contract exhibits and working with operations, 3rd party engineering, 3rd party construction and owners to move projects seamlessly from RFP through contracting and into construction. The Pre-Construction Manager will communicate, plan, and strategize closely with members of Business Development, Engineering, Estimating, Contract and Construction teams.

Requirements
- Learns and understands the project owner's needs, goals, and requirements; and works with the project team to incorporate them into the design and technical specifications.
- Works with business development to establish or maintain exceptional customer relationships. Gathers feedback and track clarifications during design process. Identifies future projects and collaboration opportunities.
- Helps the project team manage the closing process with the project owner.
- Develops the project execution strategy for the proposal. Identifies key subcontractors and personnel needed.
- Leads and manages pre-construction activities on multiple RES developed/3rd party hard bid projects.
- Creates initial engineering and construction schedules and updates and maintains those schedules as required.
- Manages bid prep, scope of work, and review for all bids.
- Works with the contracts team to close construction contracts, with high focus on exhibits and ancillary documentation, including ability to write scopes of work.
- Reviews project constraint matrices and setbacks, drawings, specifications, and other construction documents and communicate issues, accuracy of information, and potential risks.
- Assures potential risk factors have been evaluated and reviewed with senior management.
- Seeks bids and contracting in coordination with project developers/owners for all design engineering services such as 10%, 30%, 60%, 90%, IFC and interconnection related models and drawings.
- Reviews proposal price and schedule with input from the construction operations team and estimating.
- Facilitates incorporation of constructability, logistics solutions, customer expectations, and critical success factors into conceptual design activities.
- Communicates important design, estimating, development, pre-construction, and construction milestones to the project team.
- Tracks and organize project information, documents, and correspondence.
- Documents design and cost changes throughout the pre-construction process.
- Initiates, facilitates and leads pre-construction meetings.
- Assists in developing assumptions, clarifications, exceptions (ACE) documents, as well as risk and opportunity log.
- Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
- Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
- Acts as an additional point of contact with project owners, third party engineers, and construction related consultants during the pre-construction phase.
- Participates in presentations with potential clients, as required, and assists in reviewing and approving contracts before signing.
- Organizes and participates in site visits to understand the projects' existing site conditions.
- Prepares cash flow deliverables as required.
- Assists the Construction Project Managers with managing the project plan, hosts kick-off, and close out meetings for the project.
- Builds and maintains relationships with subcontractors.
- Seeks bids and contracting for pre-construction related services such as geo-technical investigations, topo/lidar, utility line locations, communications, and project power.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other construction/technical related required.
- PMP certification preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience in construction and/or engineering field required.
- 2 or more years of knowledge of renewable project layout and engineering and/or construction of HV, MV, and BESS infrastructure required.
- Ability to travel domestically 16-30% required.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Highly organized with a strong ability to manage multiple pre-construction activities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Can start with minimum information and quickly develop an understanding of the project using the available resources.
- Ability to manage and problem solve complex technical and commercial issues.
- Approaches problems by using a logical, systematic, and sequential approach.
- Ability to utilize imaginative and innovative approaches to resolve problems and address potential risks.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite programs.
- Primavera P6 knowledge preferred.
- Skilled in the use of Bluebeam Revu and Google Earth.

Salary : $128,000 - $150,000
