Job Title: General Intake Processor
Job Summary
Resale Depot is a ministry of Rivertree Church, and all employees are an extension of that ministry. Core to that is to help carry out the Mission of Resale Depot to “Utilize Excellence in resale to fund avenues where people can find and fall in love with Jesus.” Employees are expected to help carry out the Mission and Vision of Resale Depot as listed in handbook. Duties include, but not limited to, performing retail sales functions, processing and pricing donations, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Other duties are to assist in other areas of need.
Main responsibilities as a Processor
· Greet donors in a friendly and professional manner.
· Receive, inspect, sort, clean and price donated items per store price guides.
· Be a friendly, helpful face of Resale Depot to the customers, donors, and volunteers you interact with.
· Oversee the general intake room cleanliness and organization based on current donations. As well as keeping trash and cardboard taken care of.
· Assist customers over the phone or in person as needed.
· Assist with carry outs and unloading of the Depot truck as needed
· Take on 1-2 “specialty tasks” ( This is a task of pricing a certain set of items that you “specialize in” i.e. Sports memorabilia, jewelry, wall art, florals, vintage)
· Assist cashier as needed throughout the day.
· Perform other duties as requested by management
This is a high-energy job that requires a great deal of creative thinking, elbow grease, and a positive outlook. The ideal candidate will have the ability to confidently make good decisions quickly and be able to change gears at a moment’s notice. Every day is fun, but every day is different at Resale Depot.
· We would also love for this position to be filled with a person who can help sub in on Truck pickups and deliveries as needed. (Chauffer’s License needed) This is preferred but not required for this position.
Physical Capabilities
· Employee will be standing/walking most of the day.
· Employee must be able to regularly lift items up to 25 lbs and occasionally move items up to 50 lbs or more.
· Employee must be able to pass a drug test and a basic physical prior to starting,
· Must be able to pass a background check.
Hours
· 20-26 hr/week job – must be available to work on Monday, Thursday & Saturday.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 26 per week
