- Maintains current knowledge of program license and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with all licensing and applicable legal and regulatory requirements
- Attends monitoring, licensing, and site visits from contracting/licensing/ accrediting agencies
- Assists in development and oversees the implementation of policies and procedures to achieve program goals and the company’s mission
- Leads efforts and conducts audits to ensure compliance with contractual guidelines and regulations
- Reports all incidents to licensing and follows through with any communication
- Provides training for staff on all training topics related to licensing requirements
- Implements on-going employee training programs
- Ensures corporate compliance requirements are met and corrective action plans are implemented
- Collaborates with the operational/clinical members of the program
- Coordinates emergencies such as elopements, critical incidents, and medical situations
- Adheres to reporting requirements and notifications to licensing and leadership
- Maintains program evaluation and improvement activities
- Advocates for the removal of all types of barriers to participation (architectural, environmental)
- Oversees and reviews reports from safety committee
- Ensures safety concerns are addressed and corrective action plans as well as environmental actions related to safety and/or maintenance are implemented
- Analyzes and presents reports related to quality activites and outcomes, as required and/or request
- Coordinates CARF (Commission and Accreditation for Rehab Facilities) certification process and obtainment as applicable
- Conducts investigations of major/unusual incidents
- Registered Nurse or minimum of Bachelors degree in Human Services, Health Care, or Education related field preferred
- Significant experience related to position duties considered in lieu of degree
- Five or more years of experience in Health Care specifically in the areas of management, quality assurance, conducting audits, training and development, regulatory interpretation and knowledge, and continuous improvement activities
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Competent in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint programs
