What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Rescare?
We are looking for a motivated DSP (DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS) for our small group home in Taylorsville NC. Duties include: Getting clients up and ready for their day. Dressing, bathing, and feeding and having breakfast ready for them. You will need a valid NC drivers license. You do have to transport clients to their activity center with a coworker. You will have to pick them up from the activity center.You will at times take them for Dr. appointments when assigned. You are expected to be punctual and ready to work. Your main duties also include keeping their home clean and comfortable for them. Making dinner for our clients. Patience is a is a NUMBER 1 VIRTUE! Mistreatment of our clients will not be tolerated for any reason. We are a small IDD home of six. You will have rotating weekends. Full and part time hours will be discussed when you come to fill out your application. DSP and PCA experience is a plus. Pay will be discussed when and if your application is approved. MUST HAVE HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND A CLEAN CRIMINAL BACKGROUND. No Exceptions!
