This position is a tiered position and is overall responsible for assisting with multiple tasks in shipping/receiving along with different organizational projects. This position is also responsible for overseeing the grinding of scrap. The successful candidate will support the company’s practices, policies, priorities and approaches to how the organization organizes, stores, and receives materials and product. All of this while raising the performance level and service of the department to service the needs of our customers.
Position Overview
- Understands and utilizes lot numbers for all raw materials.
- Ensures all items taken away from the production lines are labeled and accounted for correctly in inventory.
- Balance’s safety, productivity, accuracy, and morale to achieve efficient results in all warehouse activities.
- Practice 5S and lean manufacturing tools to utilize space in the warehouse.
- Keep all warehouse spaces clean and organized.
- Accurately creates: transactional moves in IQMS, pallet label counts and weights of raw materials.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Work Safely and adhere to safe work practices
- Know all materials or how to find out what they are by item #
- Demonstrates understanding and accuracy of WI-W-8514 (Creating Process Regrind Gaylord Label)
- Knowledge on cleaning out the medium grinder
- Knowledge on how to fill out a daily fabrication/grinder log sheet
- Knowledge on how to use calipers for quality checks/sorting
- Knowledge on how to lockout/tag out all grinders in house
- Knows how to read BOM’s and decipher all important information
- Knows how to read and utilize Reschcor blue print s for important information (and print)
- Be able to follow packaging instructions to build customer specific packaging (and print)
- Knows how to clean out/lock out both size grinders on production line
- Knows how to combine partial gaylords of same lot or regrind and correct inventory label
- Demonstrates understanding and accuracy of WI-W-8515 (Split scanned label amounts of sorted through product)
- Demonstrates understanding and accuracy on WI-W-8503 (Reconciling Raw Materials)
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination is required
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of warehouse and/or manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
- Current forklift license or ability to obtain license
- Able to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with MRP systems, IQMS experience is preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate high accuracy with the quality of work that is produced
- Strong problem-solving skills
