Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to play a pivotal role in upholding the quality and safety standards of our food and beverage repacking processes. The successful candidate will embody our core values, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and actively contribute to our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Testing:
Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality specifications and safety standards.
Maintain compliance with SQF & GFSI inspections and certifications.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of quality tests, inspections, and deviations from established standards, ensuring comprehensive documentation for compliance and traceability.
Ensure that all Quality Assurance functions are being performed, and documented, in an accurate and efficient manner.
Sampling and Analysis:
Collect samples for analysis, perform laboratory tests, and interpret results to identify and address any deviations from quality standards.
Process Management:
Monitor and evaluate operations processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to prevent defects or non-compliance issues.
Continually review, update, and create cGMP’s, SOP’s, and Food safety plans to reflect growth and maintain a superior level of safety.
Safety:
Inspect work areas for safety hazards, observe employees safe work habits, and take corrective action as necessary; fill out accident investigation reports and attend safety meetings, as appropriate; communicate and follow up to meet safety standards and goals.
Collaboration:
Work closely with production, fulfillment, maintenance, and client teams to address quality concerns, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality.
Compliance Assurance:
Ensure strict compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal quality policies in all repacking processes. Be ready for and conduct regulatory and customer inspections at any time.
Problem Resolution:
Investigate and resolve quality-related issues through thorough root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Training and Communication:
Provide training to production personnel on quality procedures and standards, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
General Support:
Provide general support to other departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Maintain open and effective communication with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in quality assurance industry. Food and beverage industry a plus.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible with the ability to multitask productively.
Experience with HACCP, GMP and all Pre-requisite Programs as well as all applicable certifications.
