Your Role and Impact
As a Production Manager, you will be the primary resource for all plant functions in your area of responsibility. You will manage both supervisors and hourly employees, ensuring that all established key metrics are achieved. Your role will involve driving continuous improvement initiatives, enforcing safety policies and procedures, and maintaining quality standards to meet Resco and customer expectations.
What You'll Do
- Direct the cost-efficient manufacturing of products to meet quality standards through material preparation, production, finished goods, shipping, maintenance, QA, office support, and delegation to Management Team members and their departments.
- Manage effective production scheduling through delegation and review.
- Communicate plant performance to upper management and gauge plant performance by reviewing daily QAD reports.
- Participate in plant safety and implementation of safety regulations, including OSHA regulations.
- Coordinate with site QA, corporate management, and sales regarding customer needs and complaints.
- Coach and develop employee performance through training, reviews, and discipline.
- Assist in implementing LEAN concepts and continuous improvement activities.

What We're Looking For
- High school diploma is required; a technical degree or bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Five to seven years of experience in manufacturing, with three to five years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing equipment and methods, production planning, and standard cost and financial controls.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Effective communication skills with direct employees, supporting staff, and upper management.
- Experience with Business Management software (QAD, MRP, SAP) and previous experience with refractories and/or ceramics is a plus.
