What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database & Prospect Management Specialist position at Rescue Mission?
The Rescue Mission is seeking a Fulltime Database & Prospect Management Specialist to work in our Development Dept. in Syracuse, NY. The Database & Prospect Management Specialist works to further Rescue Mission’s vision and goals by supporting the Development Team with their Database, Reporting, and Prospect Management needs. This position, alongside the Director of Operations, is responsible for database management, reporting, gift entry, and prospect management and research.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supports strategy for RM Operations.
- Responsible for daily data entry and output.
- Coordinate data between databases including, but not limited to: Volunteer Hub, Classy, and Give Butter.
- Monitor data health and integrity.
- Implement efficient systems for quality control, data integrity, gift processing, prospect research, and relationship management.
- Responsible for gift entry and regular reconciliation with finance.
- Prepare acknowledgement letters and other correspondence in a timely manner.
- Produce recurring and ad-hoc reports to track fundraising metrics.
- Identify and report on trends in data which will impact fundraising initiatives.
- Ensure SOPs remain up to date and accurate.
- Support and execute Prospect Management and Research program to increase pipeline and drive growth in fundraising.
- Identify new major gift prospects.
- Assist with monitoring portfolios for the CEO, CDO, Senior Development Officer, and Assistant Director of Development.
- Conduct prospect research.
- Assist with technology/processes for event registration, onsite event logistics, and grant management.
- Regular and predictable in-person attendance is an essential requirement of the job.
- Promotes a safety-first attitude by setting a positive example and ensuring all employees are following safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years related experience in Development Operations including experience with gift entry and finance reconciliation, data management and analytics, prospect management
- Valid NYS Driver’s License in compliance with company driving criteria preferred.
Pay rate:
$55,000 annually.
