Job Summary
The Contents Restoration Technician is responsible for providing expert packing/moving/storing and
restoration services for residential and commercial contents damaged by disasters.
This role involves communicating with Clients and team members, packing and moving contents, and
assisting with warehouse and inventory management.
The ideal candidate will have a "can-do" attitude, a commitment to excellence, integrity, and
stewardship, and the ability to perform restoration tasks while maintaining a customer-first mindset. This
position reports to the Contents Service Manager and plays a crucial role in helping clients recover from
disasters.
Management Responsibilities
· This is an individual contributor role and does not have direct management responsibilities.
· However, the technician will be responsible for managing their own tasks and time efficiently, and
ensuring that all assigned projects are completed to the highest standards.
· They will also be responsible for maintaining clear communication with project management and
clients.
Job Responsibilities
· Proven ability to safely and efficiently move, pack and store contents.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain processes and address client
concerns.
· Ability to work effectively in both residential and commercial settings.
· Proficiency in using smartphones and apps for communication and reporting.
· Problem-solving skills, with the ability to address practical issues and interpret various instructions.
· Ability to work in environments with moderate noise levels and varying conditions.
· Ability to lift and move items up to 75 pounds.
· Ability to participate in on-site mitigation and emergency services.
· Ability to participate in warehouse organization processes.
· Ability to ensure proper inventory tracking using software tools.
Required Skills/Abilities
· Prior experience in contents restoration is strongly preferred.
· Moving and packing experience is a plus.
· IICRC certification is a significant advantage.
· Familiarity with industry-related software is preferred.
Preferred Education, Certifications, Licenses
· High School Diploma and some college
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
· Ability to work in environments with moderate noise levels.
