Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial transactions and record-keeping with a strong emphasis on Sage software. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of accounting principles. They should be capable of handling high volumes of data entry, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports to ensure our financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions in Sage software and ensure accuracy in all entries.
Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and timely payments.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Prepare financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
Reconcile payments within the Real Time CTMS system.
Maintain organized files and records of financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and statements.
Assist with payroll processing and payroll tax filing as needed.
Collaborate with the finance team to support audits, budgeting processes, and compliance with financial regulations.
Generate ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
Stay updated on best practices and developments in Sage software to leverage its full functionality.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience with a proven track record of using Sage software.
Education: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in Sage accounting software is essential and required.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and accounting principles.
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of other accounting software and tools.
Experience in healthcare, clinical research or similar field.
Basic knowledge of payroll and tax filing procedures.
