We are looking for a committed Assistant Facility Security Officer/PERSEC to join our Cyber Line of Business. The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) supports the FSO by monitoring, administering, and coordinating the DOD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. The right person will provide multi-disciplined security support for our multi-caveat programs in Melbourne as well as support our other locations. Get s#it done.
This position requires a current Top Secret Clearance, eligibility favorable to SCI
\n- Interprets and implements 32 CFR, Rule 117 “NISPOM Rule” and DoD 5205.07.
- Administrate personnel security clearance processes to include coordinating initial clearance submissions and periodic reinvestigations of staff, providing guidance and instruction to staff to ensure completion of security paperwork, collection of electronic fingerprinting of initial clearance candidates, and providing follow-up clearance report status on processed clearances to managers for specific contracts.
- Maintain security documentation and files in accordance with DCSA and DoD requirements.
- Provide and document employee security briefings, debriefings, investigate and report security violations and incidents.
- Maintain classified holdings and prepare transmittals in accordance with 32 CFR, Rule 117 “NISPOM Rule” .
- Assist with development, implementation, and tracking of security training.
- Assist with day-to-day operations to support CSSOs/FSOs and enforce government and company security policies as needed.
- Provide PHYSEC duties - badges, access cards, room accesses, and visits, as required by contract.
- Review and verify personnel security clearances and SAP accesses through queries to government security databases and systems.
- Experience as an Assistant Facility Security Officer.
- Subject Matter Expert in Personnel Security.
- 5 Years directly related experience w/ Associates Degree or higher in a related field.
- Knowledge of the basic security requirements for safeguarding government classified information per DoD 5205.07 and 32 CFR, Rule 117 “NISPOM Rule”.
- Proven ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures, to react responsibly in stressful situations, to communicate clearly and logically both verbally and in writing, and an ability to interact with all levels of people in a tactful and diplomatic manner to obtain compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Knowledge of various software applications with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace products, DISS, JADE, NBIS, SWFT, and NISS.
- Requires comprehensive knowledge of industry policies, procedures, forms, organization, etc. and a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, poise and ability to function independently.
- Experience as a Facility Security Officer.
- Experience as a Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO, formerly CPSO).
- FSO Program Management Certification.
- SPO Certification.
