We are looking for a committed Senior RF Engineer to join our EW/SIGINT team. Solve unique, challenging problems for our Defense and Intelligence Community customers. Research and develop technologies that enable systematic processes for discovering, selecting, organizing, distilling, sharing, developing and using information to better understand the enemy and the enemy’s environment during full-spectrum operations and provides advanced collection capabilities with the flexibility to address changes in the operational environment and signatures of interest to develop situational awareness by acquiring precise and timely information. This position requires a current Top Secret (TS) clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Poly.
- Work onsite with the team at Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG) to support Army DEVCOM Quick Reaction Capability (QRC)
- Provide engineering services to support system design in determining the proper antenna type and positioning, using extensive knowledge of signal propagation and Link Budget analysis to determine acceptable signal loss in transmission lines over distances
- Assess emerging requirements and develop technical concepts/implementation plans to rapidly meet organizational priorities and program objectives within a dynamic environment
- Develop solutions in a systems integration laboratory (SIL) and a field environment, and perform technical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, and major end items for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements
- Review engineering design proposals, design drawings, specifications and other technical document submissions and recommend improvements
- Resolution of change requests from customer, manufacturers, or suppliers
- Perform Reliability Analyses and Safety Engineering processes on systems
- Minimum 4 years direct experience in design, fabrication, and testing of RF signal collection systems
- Minimum 3 years’ direct experience in signals intelligence, or equivalent relevant disciplines including industry (development Contractor), DoD or other Agency (NRO, NGA, NSA, etc.) background
- Strong background in Agile development and experience with the Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Confluence) and ability to influence the program’s transition to Agile development
- Strong background in Microsoft Office tools to include Project and Visio
- Able to build and maintain customer relationships and partnerships with stakeholders at all levels
- Familiarity or direct experience with Cameo, MATLAB, and STK for architecture development and Mod & Sim
- Familiarity or direct experience with DOORS Next Gen or similar requirements management tool
