Your work contributes to our mission of improving patient lives. We are looking for a passionate Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technician to join our team.

Role Overview

As a Cath Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in conducting tests related to heart health. You will assist in the insertion of catheters, measure and administer unique fluids as needed, and ensure a high standard of patient care.

Responsibilities include :

Assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology procedures in the catheterization labs, under the guidance of the Cath Lab Supervisor and the CV Services Director.

Applying your knowledge of radiographic imaging principles, patient physiologic monitoring, and cardiac arrhythmia recognition.

Maintaining sterility and compliance within the lab environment.

Collecting and analyzing data for performance improvement and outcome analysis.

Supporting the Cath Lab operations as directed by the Supervisor or CV Services Director.

Participating in the on-call rotation and being available for responses within 30 minutes when called.

Qualifications :

Completion of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program is preferred.

Two years of relevant experience in the Cath Lab may substitute for formal educational program completion.

Current BCLS certification is needed within 30 days of starting, with ACLS certification required within 6 months.

Active RCIS or RT licensure is preferred.

New Invasive CVT graduates must obtain their credential within one year of eligibility.

A minimum of one year of Cath Lab experience or equivalent clinical experience from an educational program is necessary.

OJT experience of 10 years or more may be accepted as a substitution for educational requirements.
