What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Imaging Specialist position at Research Medical Center?
We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Research Medical Center. As a Medical Imaging Specialist, you will work with limited supervision under the general direction of the Administrative Director of Imaging Services and the Imaging Services Supervisory Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete a wide variety of OR imaging procedures, both on a scheduled and on-call basis, as necessary
- Perform imaging exams within the Operating Room, including C-Arm, O-arm, and Hybrid lab
- Assist with the training/evaluation of Radiology School students, as applicable
- Interface with other departments, physicians, physician office staff, patients, patients' family members, and various other visitors to the facility
You will participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities and work within the prescribed guidelines/policies/procedures established by the department, facility, and HCA.
Requirements:
- Graduate or pending graduation within 60 days of hire from an accredited program by the commission on accreditation of allied health education programs
- American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible with completion of examination within 6 months of hire to maintain employment
- BASIC CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT (BCLS) within 30 days of hire
- Completion of accredited Radiology program with relevant clinical experience; ARRT (R)
