Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Implement and maintain rigorous internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Prepare detailed financial statements and reports, providing insightful analysis to support decision-making processes
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations, staying up-to-date with any changes in laws and policies
- Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to provide financial guidance and ensure project budgets are maintained
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and compliance in all financial activities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders
