We are looking for an experienced Tequila Sales Representative to join our growing team and expand our market presence.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate, results-driven Tequila Sales Representative with experience in the spirits industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of tequila, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both existing clients and potential customers. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a critical role in driving revenue, increasing brand visibility, and promoting our portfolio of tequila products across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within assigned territory. Cultivate and manage relationships with on-premise and off-premise accounts, including bars, restaurants, retailers, and distributors.
- Product Knowledge: Educate and inform customers about the brand’s tequila offerings, including product characteristics, production methods, and usage. Demonstrate a passion for the craft and heritage behind the product.
- Brand Representation: Act as the brand ambassador for our tequila portfolio, ensuring consistency and high standards in the representation of the brand in all customer interactions.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct engaging sales presentations and tastings to showcase the product line and drive interest and sales. Support promotional events, trade shows, and brand activations as needed.
- Relationship Building: Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, distributors, and accounts to ensure brand loyalty and repeat business.
- Market Insights: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and make strategic recommendations to the sales team and management.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline progress. Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to execute promotional initiatives and special events that support sales objectives and brand awareness.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the alcoholic beverages industry, preferably with a focus on tequila, spirits, or wine. Experience in both on-premise and off-premise sales is highly preferred.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of the tequila market, including types of tequila (Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, Extra Añejo) and industry trends. A genuine passion for tequila and its cultural significance is a must.
- Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets, build lasting customer relationships, and drive business growth.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deliver compelling sales presentations and engage diverse audiences.
- Self-Motivated: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Goal-oriented with a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Travel: Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and attend industry events as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Mexican tequila production process and a network of relationships within the spirits industry.
- Existing relationships with key accounts in the spirits trade.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).
Compensation:
Competitive base salary plus performance-based commissions.
