Job Summary

We are seeking a Human Resources professional to join our team at The Georgian Hotel in beautiful Santa Monica as our Director of Human Resources. The hotel recently completed a transformational renovation and is being relaunched as the premier luxury lifestyle hotel in Santa Monica.

The Director of Human Resources is charged with cultivating top-notch talent in an engaging atmosphere that embodies the essence to fulfill the most discerning guests’ expectations. This individual is a culture ambassador for our team members and a servant leader and coach for our leaders.

Qualifications :

Our ideal candidate will have experience managing Human Resources in a hotel as well as experience that involved interacting with a full range of employees (hourly to leaders).

The minimum qualifications for this position are :

• A minimum of five years’ experience within human resources, preferably in a generalist role
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
• Ability to consistently display courtesy, etiquette, warmth and enthusiasm on the phone and in person
• Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a professional manner
• Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues
• Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
• Ability to handle complex issues encountered using knowledge acquired through training and experience
• Demonstrated ability to gain the trust and confidence of managers and employees and influence the organization
• Ability to diagnose organizational issues and implement creative solutions
• Analytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate data to insight and then into action
• Strong computer skills including intermediate or above knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Multiple language abilities preferred. Fluency in English required and Spanish desired
