Job Summary :
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing an attractive, clean, safe, and well-maintained
property, using a systematic approach that maximizes guest satisfaction and remains within the
established budgetary guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Assist all guest in a sincere and courteous manner, wherever possible going the extra mile and
doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.
2. Inspects all operating systems and components of the hotel to ensure they are operating
properly, efficiently, and safely.
3. Promptly responds to front desk reports of guest problems or concerns, informs the front desk
when action is complete so the front desk can inform our guests.
4. Promptly responds to / works with Housekeeping / Ops Manager reports of property concerns,
informs Housekeeping / Ops Manager when concerns are remedied.
5. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, or makes recommendation for repairs, of all
mechanical / electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing systems, all building components and
furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Advises if an outside contractor is needed.
6. Maintains Pool per state guidelines.
7. Informs the Hotel guest or Hotel Staff / associate member when maintenance repair is
completed.
8. Performs and logs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a
scheduled basis according to the PM.
9. Conduct a daily inspection of the Hotel grounds and interior for damage, unsafe conditions,
general cleanliness and replace light bulbs as required.
10. Performs minor repair of all building and equipment, coordinating with General Manager for
specialized repair, as necessary.
13. Assists with tasks outside of their role as Maintenance Technician and is a team player when
needed.
15. Establishes and maintains solid and professional vendor relationships.
16. Maintains all storage areas, shops, and mechanical areas in a clean, safe, and secure manner.
17. Performs outdoor custodial duties such as snow removal, cleanliness, lawn care, etc. as
required.
18. Assists with the renovation / remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building
structures and minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
19. Obtains estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
20. Oversee work being performed on schedule and as planned during PIP (Product Improvement
Plan) renovations and new construction.
o Report on daily / weekly basis of PIP status as required.
21. Grooming must meet Employee Handbook Standards.
