What you'll do:
- Checking in guests and handling their overnight requests
- Handling end-of-day bookkeeping, auditing and account reconciliation
- Complete all EOD tasks requested on Night Audit checklist
- End of Month tasks to ensure all revenue and expenses are accounted for accordingly
Job brief
Night Auditor responsibilities include checking in guests, handling their requests and taking reservations. The Night Auditor also reconciles all accounts.
You will provide excellent customer service to guests and keep the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Check in guests, answer phones and take reservations
- Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies as they arise
- Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
- Keep accurate financial records and ledgers
- Basic Accounting/Bookkeeping
- Property Management System Audit, Tax Exemption, Direct Billing, Guest Ledger, Daily Sales Report,
- Clean & Restock Lobby, Gatehouse, Market and Back Office (includes taking the trash out, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning tables, ensures all supplies/items are full).
- Communicate across departments using on property designated tools to ensure an excellent flow of the business day. This includes but is not limited to communications of all guest requests, staff needs.
- Any other tasks designated by the Assistant General Manager or General Manager
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role (preferred)
- Experience with accounting and property management software (preferred)
- Excellent math skills (required).
- Eye for Detail (Required)
- Excellent Problem-solving skills (required)
- Strong customer service skills (required)
- The ability to multitask (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (required)
- Availability to work overnight (required).
- Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
