Summary
Residence Inn by Marriott Decatur is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the hotel’s facilities are in excellent working condition by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel systems and equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment or systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the maintenance areas.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience preferred, especially in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair various equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform hands-on maintenance work.
