What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Houseperson position at Residence Inn by Marriott?
Hotel Houseperson
- Provides housekeepers with the items needed to clean guest rooms and helps stock the carts.
- Responsible for more labor-intensive tasks, such as flipping mattresses, hanging pictures and moving furniture or debris.
- Works closely with hotel supervisors to ensure that all room accessories and electronics are in working order.
- To comply with security regulations.
- Restock the housekeeping shelves.
- Make sure that outside areas, like patios and pool areas, are kept clean, tidy and in working order.
- Takes care of common areas in a hotel, such as the lobby, restrooms and pool area.
- Each hotel follows its own housekeeping guidelines and standards, which may depend on whether it's part of a large chain or a boutique inn.
Requirements:
- Must be detail-oriented,
- Have good customer service skills,
- Be able to lift heavy items
- Understand cleaning basics.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Preferred but not required
Special Physical Requirements of the Job/Working Conditions: Stand for long periods of time, use of hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms.
