Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and uniforms are cleaned, pressed, and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers, ensuring proper settings for different fabric types.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store linens and garments according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before and after washing; treat stains as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, including floors, machines, and surrounding spaces.
- Adhere to safety protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and uniforms.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management promptly.
- Follow all hotel policies regarding laundry operations and customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or custodial role preferred; experience in hotel or hospitality settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning processes and floor care techniques is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of service within the hospitality industry.
