Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking PM Houseman to join our team at Residence Inn New Haven - Hamden. The Houseman will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of guest rooms, hallways, and other hotel areas during the evening shift. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work well under pressure, and a strong commitment to delivering excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure guest areas are clean, tidy, and fully stocked with necessary amenities.
- Assist with the delivery of linens, towels, and other supplies to guest rooms.
- Assist housekeeping team with room turnovers and deep cleaning projects.
- Perform maintenance tasks like light bulb replacement, moving furniture, or fixing minor repairs.
- Support the front desk by transporting luggage for guests and ensuring common areas are prepared for the next day.
- Maintain hotel safety and cleanliness standards.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a housekeeping or hotel-related position preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
