POSITION FOCUS
Working independently, as well as part of a team, Room Attendants are responsible for providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests by ensuring a clean and sanitary environment in guest rooms and common areas.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Immediately answer requests from guests and other departments
- Load cart with supplies such as linens and amenities
- Enter guest rooms by adhering to proper safety and guest satisfaction procedures
- Replenish used amenities in rooms
- Remove and replace dirty terry and linens, adhering to hotel linen reuse program
- Fold terry, make beds, and ensure bathrooms are clean
- Remove trash and items for recycling from rooms
- Ensure all kitchen items are present in room, clean, in good condition, and operational
- Perform check on all room appliances to ensure they clean, in good condition and operational
- Adjust furniture, desk items, and appliances when necessary
- Dust and clean furnishings, artwork, and walls and remove marks from them
- Vacuum carpets in rooms and corridors
- Adhere to all safety, security, and company procedures and policies
- Ensure all assigned rooms are cleaned to expected standard within allotted time
- Immediately report safety hazards, injuries, maintenance issues, or accidents
- Successfully complete training as required
- Always maintain a professional appearance
- Keep proprietary information confidential
- Ensure company standards are followed in welcoming and acknowledging all guests
- Expect service needs of guests and provide them even before called upon to do so
- Aid guests with disabilities
- Genuinely appreciate and thank guests
- Apply professional language in communicating with guests and other people
- Provide support to team to achieve common goals
- Maintain quality standards and expectations
