Job Description

SUMMARY:

Responsible for supervision of front desk operations and personnel, including front desk associates and night auditors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform all standard Front Desk (FD) operations
  • Inspect guest rooms as needed, opening and closing housekeeping a couple days a week.
  • Handle and solve guest issues
  • Oversee FD shift leader and ensure quality performance
  • Ensure long term rates are being charged
  • Ensure house accounts are up to date
  • Ensure all GNS reservations are charged and checked out in Fosse
  • Ensure cancelled reservations are being charged accordingly
  • Ensure all function meetings are charged and checked out in Fosse
  • Ensure proper routing of groups and check them out in Fosse
  • Perform FD scheduling when needed
  • Create hotel forecast when needed
  • Communicate with Sales Department regarding groups for the week
  • Attend to Accounts Payable
  • Ensure FD is up to date on BSA standards
  • Perform Marriott Rewards Reconciliation process weekly
  • Update FD operations’ checklists
  • Attend managers’ meetings
  • Train new FD associates
  • Process FD incentives
  • Five Commitment to Correct to FD associates
  • Keep track of FD call offs and tardiness and prepare appropriate paperwork
  • Complete FD checklists during shift: AM/PM, Mobile Check in, Gift bags, Groups, etc.
  • Perform associate reviews
  • Have open availability. Able to work mornings, afternoons, holidays, weekends, night audit
  • Perform all other tasks and assignments as requested by Manager.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and guest relations skills
  • Proven experience in front desk operations and hotel management
  • Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems and night audits
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Background in hospitality and resort environments
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
