What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/Server/Cook $19/HR+TIPS position at Residence Inn?
SUMMARY :
Responsible for mixing and pouring drinks and performing other bar and restaurant related duties while providing outstanding service in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Greet guests with warm welcome
- Ensure customer satisfaction by handling bar transactions in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner
- Ring drink orders, collect payment, and make correct change
- Responsible for following hotel's cash handling procedures
- Assist in F&B inventories as directed
- Mix, garnish and pour drinks according to standard recipes or portions, referring to recipe cards as needed
- Perform server functions for all food orders as directed
- Perform hosting functions when necessary
- Use the L.E.A.R.N Model for all guest recovery incidents that occur
- Always have a friendly and welcoming demeanor when interacting with our guests
- Make patrons feel welcomed using clear and enthusiastic language
- Anticipate patron's needs and act on them
- Replenish bar supplies as needed. Organize and stock the bar, liquor storage and wine cabinets daily
- Keep work station clean and well organized
- Wash and sterilize stemware
- Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked
- Follow all policies for the responsible service of alcohol
- Complete certification for alcohol training
- Complete food safety certification if applicable.
- Prepare food according to brand and food safety standards if applicable.
- Ensure guests are completely satisfied by quickly resolving any complaints and notifying manager so they can ensure guest satisfaction as well
- If a guest has consumed too much alcohol or is disturbing other Guests, notify the manager immediately to ease the situation
- Responsible for following all hotel quality assurance standards for department
- Notify Supervisor, Operations Manager, AGM or General Manager of any problems with cleaning or equipment.
- Fill out maintenance work orders and deliver to supervisor / manager or designated area in a timely manner
- Responsible for knowing all hotel emergency procedures
- Follow all hotel safety guidelines and requirements
- Responsible for the proper administration of keys left by guests
- Bring all lost and found items to the supervisor's or manager's office for logging and storage
- Accommodate guest special requests courteously
- Answer guest questions regarding hotel and local area facilities and services.
- Carry out any reasonable request by management that I am capable of performing.
