Overview
The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the assigned properties, maintenance, and financial performance of residential, commercial, and/or industrial properties. They ensure tenant satisfaction, enforce lease agreements, and maintain the value of the property while maximizing profitability.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned properties.
- Handle tenant relations, including leasing, rent collection, and addressing complaints or concerns.
- Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair work with vendors and contractors.
- Prepare and manage reports, expense tracking and monthly statements.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and property policies.
- Market vacant units, screen potential tenants, and execute lease agreements.
- Respond to emergencies and ensure the security of the property.
Experience
- Experience in property management or a related field is required.
- Strong knowledge of management principles and practices.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for effective tenant interactions.
- Ability to negotiate contracts effectively while maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
- Experience using property management software.
- A background in sales or customer service will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
