Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter with extensive experience in Revit and residential construction and a deep understanding of Florida Building Codes. The ideal candidate will support our design and construction teams by producing precise, high-quality architectural drawings and documentation for residential projects. This role demands strong technical skills, a solid understanding of building code requirements specific to Florida, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

This opportunity is located in Tampa Florida. Remote work is not an option.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings and construction documents using Revit, ensuring high accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings for residential projects, focusing on compliance with Florida Building Codes.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate project requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Revise and update drawings as needed, ensuring all modifications meet client and regulatory standards.
• Conduct code analysis and incorporate relevant requirements into project documentation.
• Review and verify designs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project guidelines and local building regulations.
• Support project milestones by meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent in Architecture, Drafting, or related field.
• 3 years of architectural drafting experience in residential construction, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in Revit (mandatory) and other drafting software.
• In-depth knowledge of Florida Building Codes and regulations for residential construction.
• Familiarity with construction documentation standards and detailing practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications in architectural drafting or building codes.
• Experience with 3D rendering software or building information modeling (BIM).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
