What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly/Forklift Operator position at Residential Elevators?
Description
Forklift Operator who will also have duties as a parts assembler, to work full-time at least 40 hours a week in their Cairo, GA facility.
Requirements
Experience/Skills Required:
- Maneuvering forklifts safely in a busy industrial environment
- Safely stacking and unstacking different quantities of goods onto shelves and pallets
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
- Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
- Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damage
- Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures
- Consolidating partial pallets for incoming and outgoing goods
- Assemble parts and components in the assembly area
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to use shop equipment and hand tools
- Must be able to read work orders, follow verbal and written instructions for job assignments
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying items to the work area, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pulling and moving freight
- Must be able to work in varying temperature conditions
- Must pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
