We’re looking for Direct Support Staff for a Residential Group Home, who is compassionate, hardworking, friendly and reliable. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ability to assist the people we support by promoting the development of functional skills, stressing independence, inclusion and individualization.
- Mentoring individuals to help build social skills and relationships
- Assist the individuals we serve with the basic daily living needs.
- Ability to educate, and assist in daily living activities and needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely record keeping and communication within program (e.g. incident reports, verbal reports, shift documentation).
- Provides transportation for residents to legal and medical appointments, activity outings, etc.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable and appropriate environment.
- Cleaning and sanitizing home
- Preparing meals
Requirements:
- Must be able to work at least 1 weekend day
- High school Diploma
- 2 years healthcare or childcare experience
- Must pass level 2 background screening
- Complete all required trainings
- Direct Support experience preferred
- Behavior Focus experience preferred
