As a Direct Support Coordinator at RSI, you'll take on a leadership role that truly impacts lives. You'll be the guiding force behind the activities and support provided to our residents and staff, ensuring a nurturing environment where everyone can succeed. Your work schedule will include a mix of second shifts, weekends, and overnight (sleep) shifts, offering a variety of experiences each week. Beyond providing direct support, you'll also sleep at the home on scheduled nights, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents overnight.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and Inspire : Organize and oversee activities that engage and uplift both staff and residents, ensuring a positive atmosphere.
Be a Pillar of Support : Provide direct care and assistance during second shifts and overnight stays, helping residents with their daily needs and ensuring their comfort.
Safety First : Monitor the well-being of residents during the night, responding calmly and effectively to any needs or emergencies.
Collaborate and Grow : Work closely with your team to create a supportive, collaborative environment where everyone is empowered to succeed.

Available Schedules :
Wednesday to Saturday & Every Other Sunday : Second shift (3-11pm) and overnight sleep shifts.

Who We're Looking For :
Educational Background : High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in human services, social work, or a related field is a plus.
Experience : Previous experience working with individuals with IDD or in a caregiving role is required; leadership experience is preferred.
Leadership Skills : Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire your team.
Calm Under Pressure : You handle challenging situations with patience, compassion, and composure.
Medical Savvy : Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures, with the ability to respond appropriately to emergencies.
Reliability : Must be dependable and committed to fulfilling your overnight responsibilities.
