Power BI Developer Intern (Graduate-Level)

Location : Denver, Colorado

Position Type : Graduate-Intern (In-Office) (Full-Time)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Developer to take ownership of all reporting initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Own Reporting Solutions :

Create, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business and client needs.

  • Data Integration and Modeling :

    • Connect data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and Excel, and develop efficient data models to support reporting requirements.

  • Collaboration :

    • Partner with teams across departments to gather reporting requirements, understand business goals, and deliver meaningful insights.

  • Data Accuracy and Quality :

    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing validation processes and troubleshooting inconsistencies.

  • Training and Support :

    • Provide training and documentation for internal teams to utilize Power BI tools effectively. Offer ongoing support for enhancements and updates.

  • Continuous Improvement :

    • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and recommend innovative solutions to maximize the impact of data visualization.

    Qualifications

    Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and custom visualizations
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data
  • Experience with ETL processes and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data sources (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.

    • Experience :

  • 3 years of hands-on experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role
  • Previous experience working with software development or data analytics teams is preferred.

    • Soft Skills :

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
