Summary
The Vice President, Outpatient Services provides overall leadership and guidance in keeping with the organization’s mission while maintaining best clinical and business practice standards for outpatient services programs. This position develops a strategic plan to advance the organization’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth. This position oversees departmental operations to insure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Marriage and Family Counseling, or related field of study and at least ten (10) years in a leadership position within a human services agency preferred; or any combination of training, education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, abilities and skills to successfully perform in this role.
- Active Florida license in Mental Health, Marriage and Family Counseling or Social Work, required.
- A minimum of five (5) years leadership, management or supervisory experience, required.
- Ability to maintain sensitivity to our target population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop one year, three year, and five year strategic plans to advance organizational objectives and to promote high clinical standards, profitability, and growth.
- Oversee agency operations to insure high clinical standards, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
- Plan, develop, and implement strategies for the programmatic growth of the agency.
- Approve departmental operational procedures, policies, and standards.
- Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
- Evaluate performance of staff for compliance with established policies and objectives of the department and contributions in attaining objectives.
- Represent the organization’s outpatient services at legislative sessions, committee meetings, and at formal functions.
- Promote outpatient services to local, regional, and national constituencies.
Perform all other job duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Employment Requirements
- Valid driver license with a clean driving record, required.
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree equivalent, required.
- Active Florida license in Mental Health, Marriage and Family Counseling or Social Work, required.
- Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in English, required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job will supervise all employees that work within the Outpatient Services department.
Travel
This position may spend up to 20% time traveling to various worksites, development functions and engagement events throughout the country.
Schedule
This position’s schedule is flexible and varies to meet the needs of the organization, typically operating within normal business hours. Evening and weekend work is regularly required for this position. Schedule may be subject to change at any time, with or without notice. Other policies concerning this position are set forth in the current policies and procedures manual.
