Opportunity :

Resilience Lab is currently seeking to hire a passionate and dedicated Billing Operations Lead to join our growing team! The ideal candidate for this position should be able to handle and organize multiple responsibilities and tasks daily, as well as possess knowledge and demonstrate skills associated with both medical billing, medical coding, accounts receivables and collections – both insurance and patient-related. Behavioral health billing experience is desired.

Preferred candidates will possess strong communication skills with an ability to effectively liaise with the clinical team, other administrative staff, and clients. They should feel equally comfortable providing customer service to insurance representatives and patients alike. Qualified candidates will be well-organized, demonstrate good character / ethics and uphold the mission and values of Resilience Lab.

Responsibilities :

Review billing activity history and transaction records to answer client billing questions;

Work cross-functionally with clinicians when coding, billing, insurance verification, and general insurance questions arise;

Educate clinician new hires around insurance, workflows, system features and common billing / coding questions;

Ensure timeliness of claim submissions;

Review claims to ensure payer requirements are satisfied;

Pull reports and analyze claims data to identify trends;

Support the Director of Revenue Cycle Management by resolving escalated disputes;

Lead improvement measures to address trending billing issues;

Collaborate with other team members and third party RCM partners to resolve outstanding issues;

Manage reconciliation projects, including reconciliation of payments between billing systems and payers;

Complete other assignments as requested and assigned;

Uphold HIPAA compliance guidelines.

Requirements :

4-5 years Revenue Cycle Management experience;

Self-starter with strong billing, coding, insurance verification, and claims follow-up skills;

Behavioral health / mental health service line and telehealth billing experience preferred;

Experience communicating with payers to resolve issues;

Proficient with Excel and data analysisAbility to navigate occasionally complex workflows;

Strong attention to detail;

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
