Job Description
The CSR Quality Manager at UVMMC leads quality, compliance, and education initiatives within the Central Sterile Reprocessing (CSR) department. This pivotal role serves as the primary contact for CSR operations, overseeing high-level disinfection processes, ensuring compliance, and tracking quality and auditing activities. Leveraging a robust background in Sterile Processing workflow, the CSR Quality Manager designs and maintains a comprehensive quality assurance program. Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services and collaborating closely with the Manager of Central Sterile Reprocessing and leaders across surgical, procedural, ambulatory, and clinical areas, this role develops processes and contributes to education, in-servicing, competency validation, and auditing to meet regulatory requirements and uphold UVMMC's policies and procedures.
Must-Haves
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Central Sterile Processing, including at least 1 year of Certified endoscope reprocessing experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management and performance improvement.
- Associates Degree required (Business management or healthcare leadership preferred); Bachelor's degree preferred, required within 3 years of hire.
- Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician through HSPA or CBSPD, and Certified Endoscope Re-processor through HSPA or CBSPD.
