Legal Process Server

Job Summary
The Process Server plays a crucial role in the legal system by delivering legal documents to individuals involved in court proceedings. This position requires a detail-oriented and reliable individual who can navigate various environments to ensure timely and accurate service of documents. The Process Server must maintain professionalism and confidentiality while adhering to all legal guidelines.

Duties

• Serve legal documents, including summons, complaints, and subpoenas, to designated individuals in accordance with local laws.
• Ensure proper documentation of service, including obtaining signatures and completing necessary forms.
• Maintain an organized system for tracking served and unserved documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding the status of service requests.
• Conduct field investigations as needed to locate individuals for service.
• Collaborate with couriers for the timely delivery of files and documents when necessary.
• Uphold a high level of professionalism and discretion while interacting with clients and the public.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and document recipients professionally.
• Attention to detail for accurate completion of documentation related to service of process.
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in various situations.
• Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is advantageous.
• Experience as a courier or in a related field is preferred but not required.
