Resilient Retreat, based in Sarasota, Florida, is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering survivors of abuse and professionals who have experienced trauma in the workplace. The unique 84-acre campus offers no cost, trauma informed programming, including a Kind Line, support groups, experiences in nature, body based programs, programs to build regulation skills, and overnight retreats, just to name a few. Our mission is to build a more resilient community by combining expert programming with individualized care. We aim to provide multidisciplinary support to support those in need, and since affordability is the biggest hurdle to individuals seeking mental health support, all of our programming is offered at no cost.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Sarasota, FL, for a Director of Major Gifts. The Director of Major Gifts will be responsible for managing and executing major gifts fundraising strategies, developing and maintaining relationships with major donors, and conducting prospect research. Additional responsibilities include overseeing planned giving, annual giving, donor relations, and stewardship initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years Experience in Planned Giving and Annual Giving
- Expertise in Donor Relations and Stewardship
- Proficient in Prospect Research and Donor Management Systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree is a plus, CFRE is a plus
- Previous experience in a non-profit setting, preferably in a fundraising role
