The primary role of Engineering function within Product Development team is to create specifications and designs for new products or improvements and enhancements to existing products. Works closely with customers, developers and other stakeholders to understand and define customer needs in these designs. Features are aligned to a timetable and areas of responsibility. Developers may solicit customers for feedback regarding product usability and desired future enhancements. Software Engineers who design, write and test code for the product should be matched in the either Software Engineering Applications or Systems. Product developers who specialize in hardware systems should be matched to Hardware Engineering.

Leadership:

• Develop High Performing Engineering teams
• Build, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers specializing in interoperability and system integration.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that emphasizes excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Engage with external vendors, partners, and customers to ensure alignment on integration and data exchange strategies.
  
  
  

Functional Management:

• Develop and execute the interoperability strategy aligning with business goals and enabling cross-functional teams to utilize the interoperability platform
• Ensure compliance with interoperability standards such has HL7, FHIR, and SMART.
• Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability, leveraging data-driven insights.
• Define, communicate, and enforce best practices for software development, integration, and system interoperability.
  
  
  

Let’s Talk About Qualifications And Experience

Education & Experience:

• 8 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on interoperability or system integration.
• 3 years of experience in a leadership role, managing engineering teams.
  
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Proven expertise in designing and implementing APIs, web services, and middleware.
• Familiarity with industry standards for interoperability, such as HL7, FHIR, and SMART.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and modern DevOps practices.
  
  
  

Leadership & Communication:

• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse, high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving:
• Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare
• Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, etc.
