We are seeking a Program Supervisor for Peer Support / Qualified Professional to lead and manage our Peer Support Program . This role is responsible for linking, monitoring, and coordinating services to ensure effective program delivery and client success.
Position Summary
The Program Supervisor for Peer Support will provide quality supervision, program oversight, and staff development to ensure Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) effectively deliver services in alignment with recovery-oriented, person-centered principles . This role requires active involvement in program assessment, staff training, administrative supervision, and client acquisition to maintain service effectiveness.
The Program Supervisor must be trained in quality supervisory skills and possess knowledge of the CPSS role , including the principles and philosophy of recovery and the NC Peer Support Specialist Certification Program’s code of ethics. Occasional travel to meet with clients is required.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Program Oversight
- Provide administrative and supportive supervision to program staff individually at least once per month , or more frequently as needed.
- Plan work assignments, monitor, review, and evaluate staff performance to ensure quality service delivery.
- Facilitate staff meetings and conduct routine service note reviews for quality assurance.
- Advocate for the CPSS and Peer Support Services (PSS) program within the organization and in the community.
- Promote both professional and personal growth of CPSS staff within established human resource standards.
- Collaborate with staff to assess strengths and areas for growth and develop individual supervision plans .
Client Support & Service Coordination
Monitoring & Compliance
Monitor beneficiary progress.
Job Requirements
Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) with experience in behavioral health or substance abuse settings.
Strong leadership, supervision, and coaching skills .
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel occasionally within the service area.
