OVERVIEW
The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the setup and cleanup of all banquet and meeting spaces in accordance with event specifications and Hilton brand standards. This includes ensuring all furniture, equipment, and linens are clean, functional, and properly paced. The Banquet Houseperson plays a vital support role in delivering outstanding guest experiences and ensuring operational success for all events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Set banquet and meeting rooms according to diagrams and function specifications
- Move, arrange, and clean tables, chairs, podiums, staging, and other banquet furniture
- Assist with resetting rooms between functions and cleaning all meeting/event spaces
- Perform cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, window washing, and polishing fixtures
- Ensure event spaces are always clean and guest ready
- Support Banquet Captains and servers during event setup and teardown
- Greet guests when present and respond promptly and courteously to any inquiries
- Maintain inventory of supplies and report any maintenance needs or lost items
- Participate in departmental meetings and trainings as required
- Adhere to safety, cleanliness, and operational procedures at all times
- Any other tasks as requested by management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Clear communication and guest service orientation
- Physically ablet o lift, push, and carry up to 50 pounds and work on feet for extended periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
EXPERIENCE
- 6 months to a year of experience in a banquet or housekeeping role preferred
- Prior experience in a high volume hotel or event venue is a plus
ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described represent those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Most work will be performed indoors in moderate temperatures, controlled by hotel environmental systems.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, up to a complete 8-hour shift or more if overtime is required. Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds regularly. Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying of supplies as needed. Use of cleaning chemicals and equipment is required.
OTHER
The Banquet Houseperson may be required to work varying schedules as dictated by the business needs of the hotel. This includes attendance at all scheduled brand and job specific training sessions and meetings. May require nights, weekends, and holidays.
Consistent attendance in accordance with the standards set forth by Resolute Road Hospitality must be maintained and is an essential element of the success in this role. If the Banquet Houseperson is unable to meet these requirements, he/she will be subject to disciplinary action based on management operating policies, up to and including termination of employment.
