What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Firefighter position at RESOLVE MARINE GROUP, INC?
Position Summary:
The Marine Fire Fighter-North America reports to the OPA-90 Operations Manager and General Manager of Compliance Services. The Marine Fire Fighter-North America is responsible for deploying to emergency response (ER) cases within a 24-hour notice. The ER cases are marine fire and salvage emergency response that happen in a moments notice, crew must be able to respond quickly. While deployed to an emergency response case, the team member may work twelve (12) or more hours per day as dictated by the casualty circumstances.
Position Responsibilities:
- Mobilizing to Marine Fire and Salvage emergency responses on short notice.
- Work as a team member engaged in combating, extinguishing, and overhaul of marine fires
- Perform salvage support services in emergency response cases
- Assist in performing maintenance service on OPA-90 equipment as needed
- Operate equipment as needed including pumps, compressors, and other equipment typically found in the marine environment
- Other duties and training opportunities as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of Firefighting experience
- General maritime knowledge
- Experienced in operating portable fire pumps
- Skilled in general machinery troubleshooting
- Basic level Microsoft Office
Credential Requirements:
- Advanced Marine Firefighting (Provided within first 6 months of employment)
- HAZWOPER 40-hr
- Valid Driver’s License and Passport
- TWIC or ability to obtain one
Travel Requirement:
Up to 90% travel is required. If additional, travel is required beyond the specified amount, based on the operational demand, you will be notified accordingly so arrangements can be made. For deployment on projects, you must have valid credentials listed above on file within Human Resources.
