Resolve’s Naval Architects / Ocean Engineering Interns travel the world supporting operations to save and salvage ships and marine vessels, conduct vessel wreck removal operations and emergency response projects. Our Naval Architects are often deployed offsite to the location of the project, which includes extended deployment from their home office.

Position Responsibilities
Our Naval Architect/ Ocean Engineer Interns are exposed to the full range of responsibilities and duties that our full time Naval Architect and Engineers have. These include:
- Supporting various emergency response, salvage and wreck removal jobs by developing the engineering plans, arrangements and drawings to the satisfaction of the client and appropriate authorities. This includes both onsite and remote support for the salvage team.
- Develop writing technical plans to be submitted to the client and appropriate authorities for various emergency response, salvage and wreck removal operations.
- Develop 3D hull models for use in stability software for damage stability, salvage and wreck removal operations.
- Use stability software and hydrostatics information to develop ground reactions, ballast/cargo discharge requirements and estimate freeing force requirements for grounded or damaged vessels.
- Developing drawings and/or plans for modifications to Resolve’s own floating assets.
- Maintaining engineering reports and plans developed for Resolve’s emergency response, salvage and wreck removal projects.
- Supporting other engineering projects that are associated with Resolve’s other business units.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Preferences:
- Major - Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Marine Engineering
- Computer Skills – GHS, AutoCad (2D drafting), Microsoft Office Suite
- GPA – 3.0 and above
- School Year – Completed Junior standing and above
