Title: PM-IT Resiliency and EPNR - Risks
Type of Hire: Full Time
Location : Onsite (Houston, TX)
Duration : 6 Months
Start Date: Immediate
This requirement will be full time to spearhead multiple projects at the same time related to active-active and active-passive setup encompassing hybrid cloud services. At least 15 years of experience leading and managing cross-operational IT projects which can be large, can span between multiple data centers, Cloud etc. and have stringent timelines to finish.
Planning:
Create and maintain project plan and track progress, define key milestones and timeline to align with the overall objective.
Raise issues and impediments immediately to the leadership
Technical Understanding:
Good understanding of Core Utility IT systems such as SAP, Middleware, upstream customer systems, data center setup between multiple data centers and strong knowledge of active-restoration / active-passive / active-active configurations to drive day-to day tasks and bridge the gap between cross-operational IT teams.
Strong knowledge of Network and Computing infrastructure including server builds, maintenance, patches, network load balancers, management switches, F5s etc.
Excellent understanding of Cloud services (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, vendor platforms). Ability to understand on-prem and cloud architecture.
Some of this work will include strategic decisions and planning by the PM on transitioning the hardware, equipment pieces and include tasks on the infrastructure side, fabrics, cabling etc.
Will have to oversee and track progress to this work with vendor(s).
Vendor Management:
Expertise in coordinating and managing multiple vendors (SAP, IBM, Clear, Dynatrace etc.) for timely delivery of tasks related to the equipment validations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal teams and external vendors and aligning all stakeholders towards this shared objective.
Agile and Scrum Practices:
Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups, to track the progress and drive the project execution
Pro-active approach to project management
Ability to allocate time to smaller projects while handling large projects.
Risk Management and Reporting:
Maintain RAID Log, Identify potential risks and proactively address them, alongside resolving issues that may arise during vendor or internal team collaborations.
Report the deliverables up to the IT Resiliency leaders and PM.
Call out the blockers for timely resolutions.
