Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Administrator with strong expertise in managing and optimizing AWS cloud environments. The ideal candidate will also bring hands-on automation experience with Ansible and/or Terraform, ensuring efficient deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices. This is a hybrid role, requiring the candidate to be onsite three days per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS, and other core AWS services.
- Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and/or Ansible for provisioning and configuration tasks.
- Automate deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure to improve scalability and reliability.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization; implement solutions for optimization and efficiency.
- Implement and manage security best practices including IAM policies, encryption, and network security controls.
- Collaborate with development, security, and DevOps teams to support CI/CD workflows and cloud-native applications.
- Perform regular backups, patching, system updates, and incident response for cloud environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of systems, procedures, and cloud architectures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in cloud system administration, with at least 3 years focused on AWS.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CodePipeline) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, ECS, or EKS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional preferred.
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in a collaborative environment.
