POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking Fabrication Technicians with education and experience in aerospace, composites layup/repair.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with structural, mechanical, and RF/electrical engineers to build, and test custom fixtures/assemblies
- Work independently from design prints, drawings, documents, and verbal instructions
- Analyze design risks, anticipate, and mitigate risks when possible, and report concerns to supervisor
- Read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Work with power tools, hand tools, paint equipment
- Operate autoclaves, ovens, and other large equipment
- Work with calipers, micrometers, scales, and other devices to verify conformance to design requirements
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Perform tasks associated to composite manufacturing, such as: cutting, kitting, mold release application, vacuum bagging, grinding/sanding, repairs, and bonding
- Able to adapt and function well in a dynamic work environment
- Work efficiently in an environment without the need for regular, direct oversight.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma with at least two years’ experience.
- Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance. Active clearance is preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen.
