POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with education and experience to work in a fast-paced RF laboratory building, and testing antenna systems. This pivotal role will drive the production process, ensuring the efficient and effective manufacturing of antennas. Collaborating with cross-functional teams this individual will develop and implement manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and optimize production efficiencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for antenna products, including fabrication, assembly, and testing operations.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of antenna designs, providing feedback on design for manufacturing (DFM) considerations.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process control plans.
- Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support efficient production of antenna products.
- Conduct process validations, capability studies, and other statistical analyses to ensure manufacturing processes meet quality and performance requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste minimization, and productivity improvement in the manufacturing process.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities to address manufacturing issues and non-conformances.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of materials and components needed for production.
- Provide hands-on technical support to production teams, resolving technical problems and optimizing production workflows.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in antenna manufacturing to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering roles, preferably in the production of composite structures, antennas and antenna systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including composites, machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing fixtures, tooling, and equipment; experience with 3D modeling is preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems for managing production schedules, inventory, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance. An active clearance is preferred.

In connection with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Resonant Sciences will provide the following salary range and benefits for this position. Factors that determine salary may include specific skills, years of experience, and education.
Salary Estimate: $75,000 - $140,000
