MISSION / OPERATIONAL ANALYSIS ENGINEER
Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for a Mission Analysis Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to join an elite team and enhance the performance of an organization whose primary mission is to support our nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be self-starter who can work independently, with little guidance, operating within their supervisor’s intent. They should be a leader capable of working cooperatively with teams of all sizes and working with multiple interdependent groups working towards a common goal.
The candidate must be a quick learner, have knowledge of weapon system mission employment and the tools to analyze mission effectiveness. Inherent in this expertise is an ability to develop unique software tool sets for mission effectiveness analysis with the capacity to understanding complex electronic systems which enhance platform survivability. Primary mission/technology areas include but not limited to survivability, electronic warfare, electronic protection, Precision Navigation and Timing, advanced radar systems and EO/IR sensing. The candidate should also have an appropriate level of expertise and engineering skills to work collaboratively with the engineering / technical development team to fully understand and contribute to system design and architecture, performance modeling, system and platform integration and flight testing. This is a unique opportunity to understand mission level requirements, assess system performance, participate in flight operations/testing, and as the product matures transition to a role in the system engineering of the product. This is not a traditional ‘stand-alone’ operational analysis position, but a key engineering opportunity integrated with development team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible engineer for development of mission level modeling toolset development, acquisition of USG standard models and software analysis programs, appropriate model application and develop expected performance in flight test and in Military use case application
- Resident expert in platform / weapon system(s) and mission application of Resonant Sciences technologies and their applications
- Responsible for development of mission performance communications / briefing development internally to Resonant Sciences (contributing to/development of) cardinal performance system specifications and external communications to customers providing mission level performance insight and effectiveness analysis
- Participate in system level architecture trade studies, performance optimization of system with direct connectivity to effects on mission level performance and effectivity
- Participate in test planning and design of testing to reduce technical risk, and collect data to inform/update/validate mission level models
- Participate in technical proposal development
- Participate in internal and external customer reviews
MUST HAVES:
- Master’s Degree in a relevant engineering or physic degree of study plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Capable of rapidly obtaining Department of Defense Secret security clearance. Strong preference toward candidates who currently hold Secret or Top-Secret clearance with SSBI. Preference toward candidates with current/prior exceptional access program experience. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience in usage of accepted USG modeling and simulation tools such as: SUPRESSOR, GIANT, TACBRAWLER, RADGUNS, STK and other established mission analysis tools and their application
- Proficient in MATLAB, Python, and other software to develop unique modeling and data analysis products
- Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft desktop software
- Strong skills to plan, organize, multi-task, prioritize, and execute assigned workload to meet multiple deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with co-workers; work with other departments and management (both within Resonant Sciences and with the customer) in a professional manner.
- Ability to lead others in team building, conflict resolution, motivation, leadership, and risk management.
- Persuasive communication skills both verbally and in writing, excels in development and presentation of technical analysis internally and to customers
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all customers and contractors
- Travel may be required
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Have experience in one or more of the following areas: Operational Analysis, Mission Modeling and Analysis, Flight Test, and/or System Engineering
- Have experience in one or more of the following technologies: Electronic Warfare, Precision Navigation and Timing, EO/IR systems and/or Weapon System Survivability
- Previous experience working with sensitive, classified areas and programs
- Experience in execution of DoD and DoD-related programs
