Job Title: Human Resources Manager (Bilingual-Spanish)
Job Summary:
The HR Manager will passionately and professionally support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and be a respected business partner for all strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources function by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and have a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for a multi-state, multi-unit service organization.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
- Administers the company’s benefit plans including handling the renew process with external brokers, annual and monthly enrollment, and all employee communications.
- Manage employee relations and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow.
- Handles worker company claims, leaves of absence, garnishments, FMLA, etc.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
- Create and implement employee performance evaluations and feedback processes.
- Facilitate HR-related training sessions for employees and management.
- Participate in company-wide meetings and initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management to identify and address HR-related issues and opportunities.
- Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Maintains organizational charts and employee directory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- At least 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a hospitality or service industry setting.
- Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
